Following new legislation issued by the UK and Irish governments over the weekend we are operating with skeleton staff on site.

Orders for despatch: orders will still be despatched as usual via our carrier.
Orders for collection: our trade counter is now closed. Any orders for collection must be placed in advance as per the methods in our original update below. These will be available to collect via our collection point.

We would also encourage customers to avail of our direct-to-site delivery service, which supports the new social distancing regulations by reducing the touch points during delivery.

Following instructions issued by the UK government last night we remain open for business with limited staff on site. Orders will be despatched as usual and our collection point remains open.

Here at Lamp Source we are committed to the health, wellbeing and safety of our staff, customers and suppliers. We have been following closely the developments of the Covid-19 situation and have been implementing changes to our operations in line with current Government advice.

In the meantime our office and trade counter/collection point will remain open, with these additional precautions in place:

  • All collection orders must be pre-ordered by phone, email, fax or through our ecommerce platform. We even accept orders through WhatsApp – contact us via that platform on +44 28 9083 6565.
  • For customers who have to pay for goods on collection we’re encouraging the use of debit or credit cards, to reduce the amount of cash that is handled.
  • We’ll ask you to use your own pen to sign for goods. We have measures in place such as ensuring staff regularly wash their hands, and regular cleaning of door handles and other touch points using suitable cleaning agents.

Our 3rd party freight companies will have their own measures in place, with many of them not now asking you to sign their hand held signature devices.

In line with recommendations we have some staff working from home, and these numbers may increase over the coming days and weeks. As the situation develops our plans will need to adapt to reflect the latest advice, and we will of course keep you up to date.

We have a fantastic team at Lamp Source who are working hard to ensure we can offer you the best customer service experience possible. We will endeavour to maintain that service as best as we can over the coming weeks and months.
